LeRoy Centennial Tree Project
Parkland to Prairie collaborated with the Town of LeRoy to design educational signage for the town’s Centennial Tree planting project at the LeRoy School. The project consisted of planting over 150 trees and shrubs in and around the school grounds with corresponding educational signage for specific plantings.
Tree Pruning Course
Parkland to Prairie is currently partnered with Saskatchewan Polytechnic to instruct their tree pruning course. According to provincial regulations, all commercial pruners of Elm trees must complete a recognized training program or be supervised by someone who has. This course is recogized by the Province of Saskatchewan as fufilling the education requirement to commercially prune Elm trees within the province.
2024 Canadian Urban Forest Conference
Parkland to Prairie was invited to speak at the 2024 Canadian Urban Forestry Conference in Winnipeg. The topic of the presentation focused on gravel bed systems and how to initiate them in small communities. If you would like to know more about gravel tree beds and how they work, please get in touch.
