About Us

Parkland to Prairie is an urban forestry consulting firm based in the Humboldt, Saskatchewan area, serving Saskatchewan, and areas of Alberta and Manitoba. Our focus is working alongside local governments and stakeholders who wish to establish or enhance their local tree program(s).

Creating a municipal tree program can be a daunting task for local officials, and we offer expertise and support from individuals who are experienced working with public tree programs. As funding can be an issue for some communities, we offer assistance to secure funding through many cost sharing opportunities including the Green Municipal Fund and the Growing Canada’s Community Canopies initiative.

The founder of Parkland to Prairie, Nathan Croes, has over fifteen years of urban forestry experience working with municipalities across North America. After completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, he discovered his passion for working in the public sector as a Municipal Arborist and eventually as a City Forester.

Nathan is a Certified Arborist, Certified Urban Forest Professional, and Certified Tree Risk Assessor with the International Society of Arboriculture, and is ready to work with you today.

We look forward to working with your organization on your urban forestry needs.
